In an effort to search for a new rewarding career path in Jersey, I find myself extremely conflicted in relation to the salary I should be earning. Finance in Jersey is notoriously well paid, and whilst I am happy to make sacrifices myself to change my role, the drop in salary when you leave the finance industry is so dramatic that it would impact on my family and our ability to maintain our lifestyle.
My shopping addiction has therefore been temporarily cut off at the source, as I continue to debate what is more important – a job with a high salary or a job that makes you smile (perhaps there is one that does both!) In order to indulge myself slightly I’ve created my lust list of those pieces that I’ll just never get to own:
1. Camber Coat by Roksanda
I would settle for anything from Roksanda's Fall Winter 2015 collection, but this coat is the standout piece for me. A total investment to brighten up any dreary winter's day.
2. Italian Cady Selena Slit Dressy Milly
In a collection full of nautical colours of blues and creams, this pop of red was electric and is the perfect sophisticated evening dress, with a hint of sexy with the bare shoulders. It's also a steal at US$485.00!
3. Saint Laurent Black Suede Monogram Cross-Body Bag
The only classic bag to rival the Chanel quilted shoulder bag. Compact, functional, elegant and so way, way out of my reach!
4. Lana Faux Fur Trimmed Parka by London Parka
The most luxurious faux fur trim makes this parka stand out from the rest and chills the February chill at bay.
They say money can't buy happiness, but you would be the best dressed miserable person around!
